  • The Aflac team is built of 4,500 HQ employees, 70,000+ licensed sales associates, and hundreds of business partners. With so many representatives requesting essential marketing resources, Aflac needed an easily accessible way to deliver brand guidelines across their vast workforce.

  • We tackled the enormous task with a modern “digital first” approach by creating a digital brand guidelines portal. The result is an all-encompassing — yet easy to absorb — guide that addresses everything from auditing existing assets to navigating corporate regulations and brand guidelines.

Strategy & Approach

Developing the Strategy
Developing and implementing the strategy was a huge undertaking for Aflac and required extensive coordination between Aflac's business partners to ensure data management and clear communication  was in place to achieve maximum results for the Brand Center rollout. We worked alongside Aflac’s internal team to understand the complexities of their business and necessary legal language requirements across their various product offerings.


Crafting the Solution
With such a large network of associates that serve millions of lives each year, a clear framework and consistent messaging was imperative to ensure each employee receives the right information at the right time. While there were similarities across locations, there were also significant variances, which is why this platform was created to allow users to access the most relevant information quickly and with ease.


Implementation
The brand guidelines were launched with the Brand Center platform. As a result, Aflac increased employee engagement and brand loyalty, improved digital communications, improved consistent messaging, and empowered associates to deliver a seamless customer experience. The increased digital efficiency of the brand guidelines rollout reduced inbound call volumes and email requests by a staggering 75% across platforms.

Animation and Motion Design

Aflac has always struggled to convey to its audience how it differs from regular insurance companies. The solution? Create a series of 11 animated videos that better explain their products. 

Alongside Aflac’s Brand Center launch, we created an animated video series that explained Aflac’s product offerings. This served as a powerful internal resource for educating and onboarding associates, as well as an effective marketing tool for new customers.  Associates became more familiar with Aflac’s brand, which in turn, made it easier to articulate Aflac’s insurance protection services.
